Keeping you in tune with new hip-hop music and letting you know what you should be listening too!!!
Lupe Fiasco-Hurt Me Soul
Now I know some of you think Lupe is just the internet's "Favorite Rapper", but this song lyrically and musically has to touch any one who has mind and soul. (No pun intended) On this Needlz smooth/laid back produced beat Lupe talks about the good and the evils of the world and hip-hop music itself and how it affected him. This song made me think which doesn’t happen too much now in Hip-Hop nowadays and thats why it's a damn shame he sold only 58,000 copies 1st week out, Good job Atlantic Records!

Hi-Tek ft.Nas & Floetry-Music for Life
Attention all of the millions who come to this site. You may recognize this song from one of my previous posts. It's the song the "Muzik" from the Conglomerates. I guess Hi-Tek wanted to save this smooth beat for his own album and throw a more known MC on it. So for all you Nas fans you will feel this one. Rating: 8.0 Beats2Rhymes!
The Game-Let's Ride(Strip Club)
Now this is what I expected for a 1st single for Game’s new album “The Doctor’s Advocate” not “One Blood” (which has grown on me). Scott Storch tries to do his best Dr. Dre impression and comes fairly close, but not quite. I do have to say with all the beefing between him and 50 one thing Game can’t talk about anymore about 50 is how he comes up with typical “There’s a party over here” type of hooks because that’s exactly what Game does in this song. Though I do think he can run circles over 50 as MC he’s needs to lay off 50 when it comes to that aspect of their beef. Ok now getting back to this song itself it will you have you bouncing in the car and in the club!

Young Jeezy-I Love It Mr. Snowman is back with this DJ Toomp produced track. Toomp who has produced some big hits for T.I. hooks up Jeezy with a pretty decent beat though it is very reminiscent of his other tracks, but to me this one is not quite as good. I think Jeezy comes off better on some slower/harder sounding beats then this once. I think it’s too up- tempo for his style, especially his adlibs. I’m looking forward to this new album because I like him as an MC but I do think Thug Motivation was just so-so on the production tip. I’m hoping his new album will be more up to snuff. We’ll have to wait and see!

Sadat X-Millon Dollar Deal
Once Again...Brand Nubian! All right not quite but Derek X returns with a pretty decent song here from his forthcoming album Black October. This track produced by Scotty Blanco whose work I’m not too familiar makes a pretty good first impression on me with this track. Sadat one of the more underrated MC’s of all time tells what his life would be like, if he got a “50 Cent” like deal.

Lil Wayne & Juelz Santana-Blow (aka I Can't Feel My Face!)
Well I have had this mixcd for a while now and for some reason I really never gave it any burn. So today I finally listened to it, when I went for my run. Damn, I realize now I should have listened to this CD earlier cause there some hot songs on it. One of the songs I truly liked is “Rubber Burner” which has a sample of T.I. in the hook, that keeps getting stuck in your head, while Wayne and Juelz spit about the drug game, to no surprise. The other 2 songs you should really check for are “Birds Flyin High” and “Bonafide Hustla”. If you are a fan of Juelz and Wayne you will have too add this CD to your collection for sure.

Hi-Tek ft. Jadakiss, Papoose, Talib Kweli, and Raekwon-Where it Started (NY)
Well if you’re not from New York you might not feel this song because this is another bring NY hip-hop back to the top fight song. Even though in my opinion it really has never left. Regardless of that, this song is crazy lyrically and musically. Hi-Tek uses some crazy sounding samples and all the MC’s show their true lyrically wizardry!

Busta Rhymes ft. Ludacris-In the Ghetto Remix
Arguably the best track of the Big Bang album (Even though Been through the Storm is my favorite!) Busta hits off with a remix, which has all new lyrics by Busta. Luda then adds his 2cents in of how life in the ghetto is and there’s nothing more ghetto then all the furniture being covered in plastic as Luda reminds us all. If you are a fan of the original version, I would almost guarantee you would like this remix more!

Masta Killa-Pass the Bone 2006
This is an updated version of one of my favorite Gza’s song that probably not too many people truly know of. Masta Killa’s version is a very soulful sounding remake. Masta Killa is no Genius but this remake is not half bad.

Method Man ft. Redman-Walk On
All right I must admit this song won’t be for everybody. This song is kind of "Takeover" sounding, but not as good especially if your tired of the often used Isaac Hayes sample “Walk on By”. Well regardless if you listen to Redman’s lyrics on this song…well he steals the show. With lines like:
Allow me to reintroduce -- nah, I don't need it
If you ain't got it since '92, nigga, beat it
Hop in the 4 of ya 7, black two-seater Pull out a hammer, big as a vacuum cleaner
Nigga, I roll heavy, bitch, I roll steady Get that dough Reggie, me fall off, really?
You better ask who the best rapper in ya hood.
And when you mimick me,muthafucka, do it good, nigga "Walk on"
Damn, we the people need a new Redman album quickly!

The Roots ft. Peedi Peedi & Bunny Sigler-Long Time
The Roots crew have returned with their new Game Theory album. This is probably my favorite song off the new album. Peedi Crack rips it (I like the UltraMagnetic reference!), along with Black Thought, one of the most overlooked MC’s!!!
